Spring 2010 Fashion Report
November 4, 2009 — 3:34 pm
Well, I know it’s kind of late, but I wrote this post a while ago. Since this and that happened to my previous blog, I decided to migrate this entry — since it’s quite useful. After the jump, you’ll find new trends that emerged on Spring 2010 ready-to-wear runway shows.
Fall 2009 Haute Couture Report
July 13, 2009 — 4:30 pm
So okay, a couple of things. Last week was horrendous. But the highlight of last week was the haute couture shows! I love looking at haute couture shows. It feels like designers really put so much thoughts on each pieces.
Haute Couture collections are those that are mostly hand-made. One of a kind. Expensive to the fullness. It might not be the stuffs that people will wear on the street while getting some groceries, but they belong to museum and to high society parties and events.
Here are my favorites from each shows.

Armani Privé Fall 2009
Armani Privé. Why? I am a huge fan of big buttons, small buttons, everything buttons.
That being said, I’m not a huge Armani fan. Because when I think of Armani, I think of exotic, hot, tanned, buffed male models and bodacious female models. My idea of beauty is not exactly that. But you know, this house clearly proven that they CAN and good at couture. I liked their show last year and I liked this year’s too. They still have that cross-gendered chic, which I think is very Saint Laurent and I love. Girls, wear more suits and pants!

If anything is IN for Fall/Winter 2009 that should be: Emphasis on shoulders.

Anna Sui Fall 2009 Report
February 20, 2009 — 10:26 pm
Don’t you just love when what you learned in school is practical in real life? Last time I blogged about how John Galliano is inspired by the French Baroque art and this time Anna Sui said that her inspiration come from demi-monde (or something like that, I am not good at spelling French words). Demi-monde was a pop-lifestyle in Paris. I know it because that is what I am studying in Art History right at this moment.
Honestly, I am not a big fan of Anna. She’s okay and fun and cheery but.. I am not a big fan of her. However, what I really like about Anna is that whatever the trends are (say, plaids are hot.. or laces are hot) she never followed them. She always finds a way to make clothes that are ‘Anna’ and no one else’s.
