Audrey Hepburn and Her Little Givenchy Black Dress

April 13, 2009 — 9:15 pm

A friend of mine, Eka, made a video in which he and his brother, Andrew, sings Moon River. It was awesome, I’ll post it here if I figured out how to save it. Because it is on Facebook.

So anyway, it reminds me how much I LOOOOOVE Audrey Hepburn. She made herself as a household name. She passed away more than 10 years ago, but up until now, every year you’ll still see some girls who dress like Audrey Hepburn on Halloween. That’s an icon.

An icon for me is the star that you see a picture of him/her (or resembling him/her) and you said: “I’ve seen this photo before!” or “I know him/her!”

Think about THE Mona Lisa, think about THE Andy Warhol.

Audrey, also, is an icon for me. This shot below was taken from her Breakfast at Tiffany’s movie, which I love.

I don’t know why, whenever I see a Little Black Dress and Pearl necklace, I immediately say to myself: “AUDREY HEPBURN!” Image via Fashion Tribes.

I like a quote by her that says:

“My look is attainable. Women can look like Audrey Hepburn by flipping out their hair, buying the large sunglasses, and the little sleeveless dresses.”

Isn’t it relate-able?

Audrey, Audrey, she’s so fabulous. If I were a fashion designer, Audrey would be my number first muse all time.
