Liu Wen for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!

Yesterday was a very busy day for me. I think I left house for more than 12 hours. I couldn’t blog about this because tons of business that I had to deal with. Anyway—
Liu Wen, an Asian model, is going to be the first ever Asian model who is going to walk the long and glittery runway of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!

I once tweeted about how I wish there’s at least one Asian model as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. She’s not an angel yet, but Liu is going to walk the show! I was so happy, you guys. You have no idea. It just goes to show that the fashion industry started to notice the growth of fashion market in Asia.
Like Prada. Prada usually was an all-white show; as in Miuccia cast all Caucasian models. However, for the Spring 2010, Miuccia sent down two Asian models (Shu Pei Qin and also Liu Wen) and one African-American model (Lyndsey Scott). I don’t know about you, but I like this diversity on shows. And it’ll also be better for the company, because people of colors can see if this dress works well with their skin tone or not.

Did She Quit? Or Was She Fired?

It’s Taylor Jacobson, a.k.a. Tay, Rachel Zoe’s assistant. For those who don’t know, Rachel Zoe is a celebrity stylist. She also has her own TV show, The Rachel Zoe Project. Lots of drama happened on the show, and indeed, Taylor mentioned about quitting the job tons of time before. However, I thought it was just a fiction the producer created to add the excitement of the ‘reality’ show. Apparently not, because as for now, Taylor is not working with Rachel anymore.

She claimed that she quit the Rachel Zoe Inc. because she wants to start her own career in styling. However, People and Us Weekly report that Taylor was actually fired from the job. I don’t know about you, but Us Weekly seems to be a very unreliable source. But I like it! It adds the drama.
I can’t wait till the Season 3 of The Rachel Zoe Project to see all the drama happens.
